What we keep, and where

The things you add, your documents, the details from them, your medications, and your notes, all live on your phone and nowhere else. None of it is sent to us.

Working with your records

CareFile does its work right on your phone. Your documents are not uploaded anywhere for us, or anyone else, to look at.

When something leaves your phone

CareFile only sends anything when you ask it to, and even then your records never come to us.

• Backups. If you back up your phone, your CareFile data is part of that backup, the same as every other app. The backup is yours, and you control it in your phone's settings.
• Sharing. When you share a summary or a document, you choose where it goes.
• Downloads. A few optional features fetch a file the first time you use them. That download never includes anything from your records.
• Links. Some pages can open a public information page in your browser. Opening one sends nothing about you.

No tracking, no ads

CareFile does not watch what you do. There is no advertising, and nothing that tracks or measures your activity. We do not build a profile of you, and we never sell or share your information.

Deleting your data

Because everything is on your phone, you are in control. Delete a document, a medication, or a note to remove it. Delete the app to clear all of it. If you keep a backup, you can remove it there too. We hold no copy, so there is nothing on our side to delete.

Children

CareFile is for adults keeping their own records. It does not collect information from anyone, children included.

CareFile helps you keep your records in order and shows plain background on common tests. It does not give medical advice, and it does not tell you what your results mean. For anything about your health, speak with your doctor.
